Vodacom South Africa adds 1.6 mln new customers in H1

Vodacom South Africa added 1.6 million new subscribers in the six months to 30 September to reach 33.7 million. Service revenue for its fiscal first half increased 2.9 percent year-on-year to ZAR 24.11 billion, as the business returned to growth on customer additions, ARPU stabilisation and higher data usage. Excluding the benefit of a ZAR 325 million accounting estimate change in the prior year, service revenue grew 4.3 percent.
