Vodacom South Africa adds 2.1 mln active customers in FY

Vodacom South Africa's active customers increased by 6.4 percent or 2.1 million people to 34.2 million in the year that ended on 31 March. Active prepaid customers increased 7.6 percent to 29.3 million but active contract customers were flat at 4.9 million. Revenue grew by 5.2 percent to ZAR 62.28 billion, underpinned by a 6.2 percent increase in equipment revenue, with 10.5 million devices sold in the year, of which 61.6 percent were smart devices.
