Vodacom South Africa adds 736,000 customers in Q4

Vodacom South Africa reported a return to customer growth in the last quarter of its fiscal year. The mobile operator added 736,000 active customers in the three months for a total 32.115 million at the end of March. The postpaid base grew by 13,000 to 4.913 million. Active data customers fell compared to December to 16.595 million, but were up by over 1.4 million from March 2014. ARPU remained under pressure following the cut in termination rates and fell to ZAR 113 per month from ZAR 116 in the December quarter and ZAR 119 a year ago. Quarterly service revenues fell 2 percent year-on-year
