Vodacom South Africa FY revenue up 8.1% to ZAR 70.0 bln, customers up 12.1%

Vodacom South Africa's revenue increased by 8.1 percent to ZAR 70.0 billon in the year ended 31 March compared with the previous year. Equipment revenue grew by 15.2 percent, underpinned by smart device sales, which constituted 70.0 percent of devices sold, in line with the company's strategy. Service revenue increased 4.9 percent to ZAR 54.6 billion, supported by strong customer additions, a higher contribution from data revenue and growth in enterprise services.
