Vodacom South Africa holds talks with Liquid Telecom and Rain to launch 5G

Thursday 28 March 2019 | 09:32 CET | News
Vodacom South Africa is in discussions with Rain and Liquid Telecom to enable it to launch 5G products when commercial 5G routers become available, MyBroadband reported. According to Vodacom, there is strong demand for affordable fixed broadband services in South Africa and 5G can play a big role to satisfy this demand. Vodacom has already deployed standards-based 5G equipment in South Africa, but can only launch 5G services there if it gains access to 5G spectrum.
