Vodacom Tanzania FY service revenue up 5.9%, gains 882,000 customers

Monday 14 May 2018 | 10:39 CET | News
Vodacom Tanzania has reported 5.9 percent growth in service revenue to TZS 966.3 billion in the financial year ended 31 March from TZS 911.15 billion a year earlier, marking an upward shift in the growth seen over the past three years. In spite of a challenging trading environment, it exceeded the net profit forecast in its IPO prospectus, growing by 200 percent to TZS 170.24 billion from TZS 47.55 billion. EPS rose 196 percent to TZS 83.81, include the gain from the sale of the group's equity stake in Helios Towers Tanzania in October 2017.
