Vodacom TZ promotes mFarming service on Farmers' Day

Vodacom Tanzania promoted its mFarming service on Farmers' Day (Nane Nane Day), which falls on 08 August. It aims to expand use of mobile financial services, reports The Citizen. It said mFarming, which comes under the Connected Farmers Alliance (CFA), helps farmers access live weather forecasts, and crop and livestock management tips, including advice on pests and disease treatment. Public relations manager Matina Nkurlu said it is spreading this message to farmers as well as selling genuine mobile phones so that they can use its services.
