Vodafone Hungary adds 53,000 subscribers, ARPU up

Vodafone Hungary added 53,000 new subscribers in Q3, taking its total base number to 2.447 million customers. Of the total, 54.9 percent represent prepaid customers. Usage in Q3 rose to 1.287 billion minutes, compared to 1.284 billion minutes in the previous quarter and 1.149 billion minutes registered in the year-ago period. ARPU rose to HUF 4,527, from HUF 4,418 in Q2, but fell compared to HUF 4,994 in the year-ago quarter. Postpaid ARPU increased to HUF 7,065 from HUF 6,931 in the previous quarter, while prepaid ARPU grew to HUF 2,426, compared to HUF 2,379 in Q2.
