Vodafone Ireland fined EUR 250,000 by ComReg

Vodafone Ireland has repaid over EUR 2.5 million to pre-paid customers who did not benefit financially from being opted into Red Roaming when they roamed. The company has also been fined EUR 250,000 by regulator ComReg for breaching universal service and contract change notification regulations. Vodafone has also agreed not to use automatic opt-ins to contract changes in the future.
