Vodafone Ireland grows in fixed, loses in mobile in Q2

Vodafone Ireland reported a slowdown in service revenue growth in the September quarter to 0.5 percent, compared to over 2 percent annual growth in the previous two quarters. Total service revenues reached EUR 242 million in the operator's fiscal second quarter, flat compared to the previous three months. The mobile customer base was down by 2,000 compared to June to 1.965 million, as 14,000 postpaid additions were offset by the loss of 16,000 prepaid customers. The fixed broadband base showed strong growth, adding 10,000 customers in the three months for a total 257,000 at the end of
