Vodafone Ireland loses 37,000 mobile customers in Q4

Vodafone Ireland lost 37,000 mobile phone customers in the first three months of the year, corresponding to its fiscal fourth quarter. The operator had 2.01 million mobile subscribers at the end of March, 53 percent of whom were on prepaid. Customers with smartphones rose by 127,800 in a year to 1.3 million. Mobile data usage over 3G and 4G rose by 77 percent in the quarter. Fixed broadband customers grew by 7,000 in the quarter to reach 222,000.
