Vodafone Ireland pre-tax profit down 14% to EUR 100 mln

Vodafone Ireland made a pre-tax profit down 14 percent to EUR 100.2 million in its financial year to the end of March, the Irish independent reports, citing a directors' report filed at Companies Office. The mobile operator's revenue declined by 1.4 percent to EUR 1.004 billion in the last fiscal year, from EUR 1.018 billion a year earlier. The documents state that Vodafone Ireland paid a EUR 80 million dividend to its parent company in 2014. It had 2.4 million customers at the end of December, with smartphone users growing by 184,000 to 1.2 million. Data usage grew by 45 percent in a year
