Vodafone Ireland sheds 47,000 mobile customers in Q4

Tuesday 17 May 2016 | 13:37 CET | News
Vodafone Ireland lost 47,000 mobile customers in its fiscal fourth quarter to March, but gained 8,000 fixed broadband subscribers in the same period. Its customer base totaled 1.986 million in mobile and 239,000 in fixed at the end of March. While Vodafone's growth in the postpaid market came to a halt in the quarter, with a net loss of 8,000 contract customers, the share of postpaid in the total base was still up, to 49.7 percent from 47.0 percent a year ago. This helped drive a 2.4 percent annual increase in service revenue in the quarter.
