Vodafone Italia, Open Fiber extend FTTH partnership to over 7,000 underserved localities

Vodafone Italia and wholesale-only operator Open Fiber have announced an extension to their existing partnership covering major Italian cities and now intend to bring high-speed broadband at speeds of up to 1Gbps to 7,635 digital divide localities throughout the country. The new deal comes over a year after the partners expanded their FTTH access agreement to 271 Italian cities in so-called Cluster A and B areas. Thanks to the revamped agreement, Vodafone customers currently on ADSL plans in the underserved localities (Cluster C and D areas) will eventually be able to enjoy a gigabit fibre
