Vodafone Italia signs SIM tracking agreement

Vodafone Italia has signed an agreement with the country's National Mountain Rescue Corps (CNSAS) to make more expeditious and timely rescue operations in the mountains and inaccessible environments. The mobile operator will provide a location service to CNSAS that will enable mountain rescue experts to identify the shortest possible time missing persons or persons in danger. The service provided enables Vodafone to locate the last position of the mobile SIM recorded on Vodafone network. Vodafone will make the service available only through specific requests from the CNSAS with the objective
