Vodafone Kabel Deutschland uses Teleste's Luminato for DVB-T2 reception

Thursday 14 September 2017 | 10:34 CET | News
Vodafone Kabel Deutschland announced it uses Teleste's Luminato platform for DBN-T2 reception. The Luminato system is used there for the reception of TV signals which, for technical or other reasons, e.g. regionalized programmes, are not available through other means of distribution. The operator said the migration process will be completed by 2019 at the latest with the shutdown of the last DVB-T transmitter. The previously used DVB-T system has been replaced in Germany by the much more efficient successor system DVB-T2 since 29 March.
