Vodafone launches 5G course at Madrid's Carlos III university

Vodafone Spain has teamed up with Madrid's Carlos III University (UC3M) to launch a course on 5G technologies for 25 undergraduates studying for a degree in Telecommunications Technologies and Communications Systems. The course will be run by Vodafone experts and UC3M professors and will analyse the application of the new 5G standard and the advantages it has over the current 4G system, with a particular emphasis on the benefits of Massive MIMO technology. The operator said it will also be collaborating with UC3M on the use of artificial intelligence to improve mobile networks.
