Vodafone, Orange appeal conditions in Digital+ deal - report

Vodafone and Orange have each filed lawsuits contesting the conditions imposed on Telefonica by regulators for its takeover of Canal+, sources close to the companies told Europa Press. The CNMC approved the acquisition last April with certain conditions, giving telefonican 85 percent share of pay-TV revenues and over 70 percent of pay-TV customers in Spain. The two rival operators filed suits against the decision with the High Court by the required deadline of 30 June, the report said.
