Vodafone Portugal quarterly service revenues up 3.5%

Vodafone Portugal reported a drop in mobile customers for its fiscal fourth quarter, but growth in the fixed and postpaid markets helped the company post growth in service revenues. The operator shed 99,000 prepaid users in the three months, while adding 41,000 postpaid subscribers, giving it a total mobile base of 4.850 million at the end of March. The share of postpaid in the customer mix increased to 38.8 percent from 31.4 percent a year ago. This helped ARPU increase to EUR 11.9 from EUR 11.6 a year ago, but the figure was still down slightly from EUR 12.0 in Q3 amid a fall in prepaid
