Vodafone Portugal slows service revenue decline to 0.2%

Vodafone Portugal reported improving revenue trends for its fiscal second quarter to September. Despite ongoing pressure in convergence pricing, fixed revenue continued to grow strongly and mobile is recovering, driven by migration from prepay to contract and recovery in enterprise, the operator said. Organic service revenue was down just 0.2 percent year-on-year in Q2, compared to falls of respectively 2.5 and 3.8 percent in the two preceding quarters. In the mobile market, Vodafone added 83,000 contract customers and lost 39,000 prepaid users in the three months, for a total 4.972 million
