Vodafone proposes compensation for no-show technicians

Friday 19 February 2016 | 10:49 CET | News
Consumers who have waited in vain for a Deutsche Telekom technician to come to their home should receive compensation, according to Vodafone. Vodafone Germany CEO Hannes Ametsreiter told Handelsblatt that waiting for the technician is the "telco nuisance number 1", AFP reports. He said Vodafone's analysis shows that there are one million missed appointments related to the installation of new telephone or internet connections each year. With a suggested compensation sum of EUR 250, Ametsreiter said this would make up for customers having to take a day off work.
