Vodafone reveals position on 700 MHz spectrum

Vodafone New Zealand has revealed its opinion on the 700 MHz spectrum that is expected to become available next year once analogue television transmissions are turned off. The operator wants the spectrum cap set at 20 MHz, Computerworld reports citing the company's head of corporate affairs Tom Chignell. The 700 MHz band has 45 MHz (paired), so a 20 MHz cap for operators means that only two operators will be able to get enough spectrum to roll out a national LTE network.
