Vodafone Romania Foundation-backed 'School in a suitcase (Scoala din valiza)' project expanded considerably in 2019, reaching 8,000 beneficiaries. The project is carried out by the World Vision Romania Foundation in ten rural schools in Vaslui, Ilfov, Ialomita, Cluj, Brasov and Valcea counties. It consists of an e-learning platform www.scoaladinvaliza.ro and a mobile suitcase equipped with pieces of technology equipment.
The project's aim is to create the digital skills of teachers and students from primary and secondary schools in the rural area by using the www.scoaladinvaliza.ro an e-learning platform and the 'Instant classroom' mobile technology suitcase. The suitcase includes a teacher's laptop, 25 tablets for students, a video projector, an audio system, a built-in charging platform, a built-in wi-fi router and a 4G modem. With the help of technology, teachers hold interactive lessons.
