Vodafone to acquire Ghana Telecom for USD 960 mln - report

Vodafone is expected to be confirmed the new owner of Ghana Telecom (GT) by 2 July of this year according to Ghana's newspaper the Daily Guide citing the ministry of finance sources. Vodafone was said to have concluded negotiations with government to acquire a 66.7 percent stake in the state-owned telecom incumbent which had been tabled for privatisation since last year.
