Vodafone Turkey adds 308,000 new customers in June quarter

Vodafone Turkey reported an acceleration in customer growth for the three months to 30 June, adding a net 308,000 new customers for a total 20.062 million. The percentage prepaid fell to 61.2 percent from 62.3 percent in the previous quarter. The rise in postpaid and demand for Red contracts helped quarterly service revenues grow to GBP 407 million in Turkey, up 3.7 percent year-on-year on an organic basis. Vodafone said revenue growth was dampened by voice and SMS termination rate cuts. Voice traffic rose to 24.7 billion minutes from 22.5 billion in the previous quarter, and data traffic
