Vodafone UK H2 sales up 1.1% to GBP 3.3 bln

Vodafone UK reported revenue up 1.1 percent to GBP 3.32 billion in its fiscal second half to the end of March, compared with GBP 3.09 billion a year earlier. EBITDA fell 16.8 percent to GBP 715 million amid a rise in operating costs. In the last quarter of the fiscal year, service revenue increased by 0.6 percent year-on-year to GBP 1.61 billion, led by higher mobile in-bundle revenues and helped by the acquisition of the C&W activities. Vodafone UK added 262,000 net mobile subscribers in the January-March quarter, bringing the total to 18.41 million, 35.2 percent on prepaid.
