Vodafone UK's rural femtocell project goes live

Monday 10 November 2014 | 09:57 CET | News
Vodafone UK has announced that the village of Minchinhampton in the Cotswolds has become the first of 100 location to go live with the operator's Rural Open Sure Signal (ROSS) femtocell project. Vodafone UK CEO Jeroen Hoencamp said, "Any network would be able to build a macro network in thewse areas, but it's uneconomical in most cases to do so, so companies tend not to."
