Vodafone's Secure Network blocks 130,000 viruses in 6 months

Vodafone Italia has announced that less than six months after launching its Secure Network platform, the company has blocked over 130,000 viruses and unwanted programs on smartphones and tablets. Around 53 percent of the viruses were trojans, while 14 percent were malware on the Android OS and 10 percent on Windows. The platform's Parental Control service, meanwhile, blocked access to over 3 million websites and content that posed a risk, 71 percent of which originated from social networks.
