Vodeo cuts unlimited SVoD price to EUR 4.99

French VoD service provider Vodeo, specialising in documentaries, has reduced the price of its unlimited SVoD service to EUR 4.99 from EUR 7.99, Ariase reports. The company sold by the Figaro to media group NextRadioTV in March 2015 offers a catalogue of over 6,000 documentaries around themese such as nature, discovery, history, science and arts. Its pricing compares to EUR 7.99 a month for basic subscriptions from market leaders Netflix and CanalPlay, which offer films and TV series, and EUR 10 from challengers Video Futur and Filmo TV. Vodeo also offers a la carte documentary downloads
