Data from Marktest's Bareme Internet report show that 2.5 million Portuguese aged 15 and over have made VoIP calls over the last 30 days. This corresponds to 29 percent of the total. This type of call shows a steady increase in recent years, more than tripling the number of users compared to 2012. VoIP calls have a greater penetration among younger individuals (aged between 15 and 34 years) and in the Greater Lisbon region, as well as among individuals of the highest social classes.
