Volex acquires AppliedMicro active optical technology

Customised electrical and optical interconnect services provider Volex and Fabless semiconductor company Applied Micro Circuits have completed a transaction under which Volex has acquired active optical technology from AppliedMicro for a purchase price of approximately USD 2 million.
