Vox Telecom plans fibre roll-out in Eastern belt

South Africa's Vox Telecom is planning to roll out high-speed connectivity beyond the metropolitan cities, in what it calls a national long distance fibre project. In a statement, the company said its first stop will be Richards Bay, situated halfway between Durban and Kosi Bay. The Vox-led project will take high-speed fibre and wireless connectivity to the Eastern belt of the country, extending from Witbank through Middelburg, Secunda, Ermelo, Piet Retief, Paulpietersburg; Melmoth, Empangeni, Richards Bay and Ballito.
