VTR Chile cuts monthly charges for unemployed, launches Covid-19 channel

Chilean cable operator VTR, part of Liberty Latin America, has announced that subscribers who lose their jobs between 15 March and 30 April as a result of the coronavirus pandemic will be offered a reduction of up to 80 percent on the price of their monthly subscription. VTR said around 10,000 customers who have been with the company for at least 6 months will be able to continue accessing their contracted single, double or triple play plan for a maximum of CLP 9,990 (around USD 12) a month. They may also request an additional 3-month extension if they remain unemployed at the end of the
