VTR halves broadband price, increases speed

Chilean cable operator VTR has halved the price of its 120 Mbps broadband offer to CLP 33,990 and announced an increase in the top download speed to 160 Mbps from February. The offer is currently available in 3 million Chilean homes. Subscribers to the 80 Mbps offer will also see the monthly price reduced to CLP 26,990 from CLP 32,990. The Liberty Global-owned operator recently reported that its total broadband subscribers had increased to 993,600 at the end of the third quarter, up from 932,600 in the year-earlier period.
