VTR leads Chile broadband speed ranking

Chilean cable operator VTR, part of Liberty Global's Latin American and Caribbean group (LiLAC), announced that it topped a ranking of fixed network performance conducted by Ookla's Speedtest service with an average score of 52.97. The operator clocked top download and upload speeds of 150.79Mbps and 10.01Mbps during the tests conducted in the second and third quarters. Rivals MundoPacifico, GTD Internet, Claro and Telefonica del Sur rounded out the top five with scores of 27.84, 27.18, 18.32 and 16.25 respectively.
