Vudu to introduce exclusive programming including shoppable ads

Friday 3 May 2019 | 14:00 CET | News
Wallmart-owned streaming service Vudu confirmed at a presentation that it would introduce exclusive interactive TV programming produced through its JV created together with start-up Eko, writes online publication TechCrunch.com citing Vudu senior director Julian Franco. The content will include shoppable ads and will cover various genres like comedy, drama and thrillers. Walmart's move is supposed to attract more viewers to Vudu. Bloomberg reported on 29 April about the company's plans to launch original content in cooperation with Eko.
