Wallonia not interested in domain name

The Belgian region of Wallonia deliberately chose not to register for a .wallonie domain name, citing high costs, DataNews reported. Both .vlaanderen and .brussels did. Wallonia minister president Rudy Demotte said costs could have run to EUR 500,000-800,000. We thought it better to invest into quality content," Demotte added. At this moment, seven regions in Europe have registered for a domain name, including Spain's Catalunia, France's Aquitaine, Corsica, Alsace, the UK's Wales and Belgium's Flanders and Brussels.
