Wandsworth Council connects homes to Gigafast network

Wandsworth Council in London announced the roll-out of the Gigafast fibre-optic network to council tenants and leaseholders within Thessaly House on the Savona Estate in Battersea. It will then be gradually installed across the Council's housing stock of more than 20,000 homes. The network is being delivered by Community Fibre through a partnership agreement with the Council. Residents will pay GBP 30 a month to subscribe to the unlimited 1 Gbps service, with no line rental charge. Community Fibre and the Council will co-operate to identify households with no current internet connection to
