Watchdog calls on Telefonica to lower wholesale fibre prices by around 5%

Wednesday 2 December 2020 | 14:53 CET | News
Spain's communications and competition regulator CNMC said it has urged Telefonica to lower its wholesale fibre rates by at least 4.8 percent so that alternative operators can replicate the former incumbent's flagship fibre-based products. In a statement, the watchdog said the third review of the prices set by Telefonica served to verify that all of the company's retail offers could be replicated by alternative operators such as Orange, Vodafone and Masmovil except for its Fusion Base 600Mbps plan.
