Wayra picks 10 new start-ups to join acceleration programme

Wayra, Telefonica's global start-up accelerator, has selected 10 new start-ups to take part in the acceleration programme in Madrid and Barcelona. The projects were chosen among the more than 660 applications from all over Spain presented during 'wayraWeek' and offer innovative ICT applications covering areas such as location services, clean energy, smart cities and entertainment, among others. The selected start-ups will now receive physical incubation at the purpose-built Wayra Academies in Madrid and Barcelona, up to EUR 40,000 in seed funding as well as support, coaching and mentoring
