WDR and IRT to introduce DVB-T2 app at IFA

German public broadcaster WDR and the Institute for broadcast technology (IRT) announced plans to introduce their jointly developed DVB-T2 app for Android devices at the IFA 2016 in Berlin, teltarif.de reports. Smartphone users with app and a dongle antenna inserted into the phone will be able to access full HD TV over the new digital system.
