Welsh govt promotes coding clubs

Monday 26 June 2017 | 08:56 CET | News
The Welsh government announced a plan to bring coding to more schools, in cooperating with Microsoft. The programme 'Cracking the Code' aims to bring code clubs to every part of Wales. With GBP 1.3 million over this Assembly term, the funding will allow schools and regional consortia to provide teachers the space and capacity to work with partners at local, national and international levels. Partners already include the British Council, BT Barefoot Computing, Microsoft Education, Raspberry Pi Foundation and Code Club, Sony UK Technology Centre and Technocamps.
