West European online video market worth EUR 1 bln in 2013

ITMedia Consulting estimates that in Western Europe, total revenues from the distribution of online video on TV or other portable and connected screens will amount to more than EUR 1 billion by the end of 2013, with EUR 652 million generated by advertising and EUR 412 million from paid services (subscriptions or pay per view). These services will continue to grow in popularity and in 2016, it is estimated that the value of sales from advertising, subscriptions and individual purchases will be close to EUR 3 billion.
