Western Australia to invest AUD 45 mln in 85 mobile towers

The Western Australia government has extended its Royalties for Regions funding. The government will invest around AUD 45 million to fund 85 additional mobile towers in regional locations, ZDNet reports, citing WA Commerce Minister Michael Mischin. Telstra won the initial AUD 39.2 million contract in 2012 to deploy 113 mobile sites and increase its mobile network coverage in the state by 22 percent. This project was completed in September 2014.
