Western European PC shipments up another 3% to 15 mln in Q2

The Western European PC market continued to grow in the second quarter of 2021, with shipments of desktops, notebooks and workstations rising to 15.0 million units, according to data from Canalys. The 3 percent annual growth was more modest than in recent quarters but was still impressive in view of the phenomenal nature of Q2 2020. Although shortages of key components remain a problem, limiting vendors' orders and growth, post-Covid demand has been stable thanks to lockdown-enforced lifestyle changes becoming permanent, said the researcher.
