Total IT spending by Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) in Western Europe will grow by 3.4 percent year on year to USD 125.3 billion in 2017 and continue increasing at a CAGR of 2.5 percent to exceed USD 137 billion in 2021, according to a study from IDC. The report says conditions have improved for SMBs thanks to an enhanced physical and ICT infrastructure, reforms in regulations and easier access to information and finance. As a result, SMBs have been less reluctant to invest in technologies such as cloud, the Internet of Things [IoT], artificial intelligence [AI] and big data and analytics.
