Western Union lets Amazon shoppers in Kenya pay in local currency

Western Union has introduced a new payment option that allows Amazon customers in Kenya to pay in local currency for their purchases. The service is being offered initially Chile, Colombia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Peru, Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand. The new, cross-border payment option is called Amazon PayCode and Western Union processes the foreign exchange, settlement and money movement requirements for international e-commerce transactions.
