Weve launches, aiming for GBP 1 bln in revenues in 5 yrs

Weve, the mobile wallet and marketing joint venture between Everything Everywhere, O2 UK and Vodafone UK, received approval from the European competition authority six weeks ago and has since opened new offices in London's West End and appointed Nancy Cruikshank its interim chief executive, the Financial Times reported. Cruikshank said the new company aims to generate revenue of GBP 1 billion in five years. Weve, previously called Project Oscar, has a potential mobile marketing and services platform of about 65 million customers. The business is seen as a blueprint for elsewhere in the world,
