Wheeler considered frontrunner for FCC chair - report

Venture capitalist and mobile telephony industry lobbyist Tom Wheeler is the frontrunner to be the next chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, according to top telecom analysts and DC policy sources, says Time. Wheeler is currently managing director at DC-based Core Capital Partners. Earlier in his career, Wheeler served as president of the National Cable Television Association (NCTA) and later as CEO of the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA).
