WiFi4EU funding benefits 736 Spanish towns

A total of 736 Spanish town councils have so far received EUR 15,000 each to set up free public hotspots in the two calls of the EU's WiFi4EU project launched in November 2018 and April 2019, said the country's communications regulator CNMC. Catalonia leads the regional ranking, with 151 towns receiving Wi-Fi subsidies, followed by Castilla-Leon with 130 and Andalucia with 127.
